Pulling Just the Pages You Need

Someone sends you a 100-page document. You need pages 45-52 for the meeting. What do you do?

Printing the whole thing wastes paper. Forwarding it all makes recipients wade through irrelevant pages. Extracting just what you need is the answer.

How to Extract Pages

Our Page Extractor makes this simple:

  1. Upload your PDF
  2. Enter which pages you want (like "45-52" or "1, 5, 10-15")
  3. Extract and download your new, focused PDF

The original file stays unchanged. You get a new PDF with just the pages you specified.

Page Selection Options

You can specify pages in different ways:

Single page: Just enter "7" to get only page 7.

Range: Enter "10-20" to get pages 10 through 20.

Specific pages: Enter "1, 5, 8, 12" to pick pages individually.

Combination: Enter "1, 3, 10-15, 20" to mix individual selections with ranges.

Whatever your situation requires.

Real Scenarios

Sharing relevant sections — Client only needs the pricing chapter? Extract just that.

Creating handouts — Pull specific pages from a textbook or manual for distribution.

Reducing file size — Don't need all 150 pages? Extract what matters and the file shrinks proportionally.

Signature pages — Just need the signature page from a contract for your records? Extract it.

Study materials — Pull the chapters being tested and create a focused review document.

A Note on Page Numbers

Here's something that confuses people: page numbers in PDFs aren't always what they seem.

Some documents have cover pages, tables of contents, or intro sections that don't use numbered pages. "Page 5" in the document text might actually be the 10th page of the file.

Most tools (including ours) count from the first page of the file, regardless of printed page numbers. Preview thumbnails help you find the right pages.

What Happens to Quality

Extracting pages doesn't compress or alter content. The pages you pull out are identical to the originals in quality and formatting.

If file size is still a concern after extraction, run the result through our PDF Compressor.
